Advanced VLSI Physical Design
The Advanced Physical Design Program is a comprehensive, industry-focused training course designed to provide in-depth expertise in the VLSI Physical Design domain. The program equips students with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in implementing the complete RTL-to-GDSII physical design flow using industry-standard EDA tools.
The course covers key aspects such as Floor Planning, Power Planning, Placement, Clock Tree Synthesis (CTS), Routing, Static Timing Analysis (STA), Physical Verification, Signal Integrity, and ECO implementation. Emphasis is placed on timing closure, congestion management, DRC/LVS debugging, and achieving optimal Quality of Results (QoR).
Through project-based learning and real-time design scenarios, participants develop strong analytical, debugging, and optimization skills aligned with current semiconductor industry practices. The program is structured to prepare students for successful careers in ASIC/SoC Physical Design and backend implementation roles within leading semiconductor companies.
